## Querying This Documentation
This site has an agentic ask interface you may use to query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.bicscan.io/index.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

After successful login, the wallet address will be displayed in the upper right corner of the Bicscan main screen with the network icon selected in the wallet.

### 4. Create BICScan App

In order to perform a scan, whether through the UI or API, an App Key must be created the first time. You can create multiple app keys. Queries executed on the UI will use the first created App key. However, quota allocation/deduction is calculated based on the wallet address, not per app key.

> **Warning**
>
> For security purposes, manage your App Key carefully to ensure that it does not fall into the wrong hands. To replace an App Key, you need to edit the App key and regenerate to a new one.

To create an App Key, please perform the following steps

#### 4.1. Go to Profile

You can view the list of apps you own by clicking on your wallet address in the top right corner and going to Profile in the menu.

You will be asked to sign to verify the wallet user you have connected. No worries, you will not be charged at this stage.

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2FNe9UQ7cqoDmSehyQogqL%2Fabcwallet_signing_en.png?alt=media&amp;token=a7c92bbd-60e2-4bcb-8f4a-a71dbc4c4c24" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 4.2. Creating an App

Click the user addresss in the top right corner, navigate to `Profile` in the menu. In the Profile page, click `Create App` button to create a new app.

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2FaifELUkIu6au6oAJ8FRY%2Fapplist_en.png?alt=media&amp;token=343cf348-15ce-4e7d-b6d0-c643c692f9a0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 4.3. Enter an app name and description

Enter a name for the app being created. While app name and description can be edited later, we recommend using intuitive names like "AppName-Dev", "Application-Backend", and so on.

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2Fh6zCh4QI83N7XPSJZdoN%2Fapp_name_desc_en.png?alt=media&amp;token=9f183fda-9b9c-4bd0-b7f4-bd50ddcdaa53" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 4.4. Sign to complete app creation

Finally, sign the app to complete its creation.

#### 4.5. Complete

After signing, the new app will be registered on the screen, and you can click on it for more information.

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2FUoOSl9Kbremmdbu1dczp%2F%EC%8A%A4%ED%81%AC%EB%A6%B0%EC%83%B7%202023-08-29%20222312.png?alt=media&amp;token=f1780b52-5ce7-44d7-b714-7f79b264fd90" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To see more information about the app, click [View App Details](/start-using-bicscan#app-list).

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2FxfZMocx7t5UZrparMZiK%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ad79149b-6817-4b22-b127-77fc0f9e86bf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once the App Key is regenerated, the old key will expire immediately and can no longer be used.

# Maximum query per second exceeded

### I get `Maximum query per second exceeded.` error message and the Scan request is not processed.

Free plan has a request limit of about 5-6 requests per minute. If you exceed the limit, you will not be able to make a request for the next 10 seconds. Please wait a moment and try again.

### I've maxed out my current plan usage, what should I do?

If you're a free user, your usage will reset first day of every month. If you're a paid user, your query will consume "Free plan" until next payment day. Note that free plan has limited functionality and provided data. In case even Free plan quota is used up, you cannot call API for scan anymore.

<figure><img src="https://2838226372-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJP555F4bCSja911juZGT%2Fuploads%2Ficd3xGX41KsS5lt1FcWz%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7c552980-074c-45a6-8540-0262d696e666" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### If I used all my quota, can I call other APIs?

Yes, your quota only limits `POST /v1/scan` and other API call is unaffected. You can retrieve previous scan result anytime.

# Free vs Paid plan

### What is the difference between paid and free plans?

Paid plans can be requested more frequently than free plans. The `Basic` and `Professional` plan allows request scan once a second, while the and `Team` plan allows to scan 10 times per second. You can also see `Premium` results (Uppsala, Coinfirm) on the results screen.

### What is the difference between Yearly and Monthly plan?

There are two major differences;

1. You get discount for paying up-front depending your choice of plan.
2. Your quota available between your payment due; that is if you have subscribed yearly plan, your quota is limited between day zero you've had the payment, until next year, your next payment day. In other words, you can use up all the given quota at first month.&#x20;

# Plan Expiration

### When does my paid plan expire?

You can find it in the `Query Quota` list on the [Profile](https://bicscan.io/profile) screen. The date value in the `Renewed At` column is the expiration date. On that date, your paid plan will expire/renew, and for free plans, your usage will be reset on that date.
